At first, I was taken aback and wondered who would invest in such a product. Mangosteen? I had never heard of it and had no idea what it looked like.

Upon further exploration, I discovered that the mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana) is a tropical evergreen tree believed to have originated in the Sunda Islands and the Moluccas. This tree can grow anywhere from 7 to 25 meters in height. When ripe, the fruit is a deep reddish-purple color. In Asia, mangosteen is often referred to as the “Queen of Fruits,” with the durian (Durio spp.) holding the title of the “King of Fruits.” It’s closely related to other delectable tropical fruits like button mangosteen and lemondrop mangosteen.

The outer shell of the fruit is relatively hard, typically measuring 4-6 cm in diameter. Inside, you’ll find a luscious, white, fleshy fruit ranging from 3-5 cm in diameter. Depending on the size and ripeness, there may or may not be pits in the fruit’s segments. The number of fruit pods aligns with the number of petals on the underside of the shell. On average, a mangosteen contains around 5 fruits.

Despite my extensive experience with exotic fruits, including the infamous King of Fruits – durian, I had never encountered or savored the Queen of Fruits. Intrigued, I decided to purchase the $30 bottle from my coworker and sipped on the mangosteen juice. To my surprise, I experienced a boost in energy that carried me through the day. I plan to continue this journey with mangosteen juice and will keep you posted on whether it aids in shedding a few pounds!

Mangosteen juice is undoubtedly a fascinating addition to the world of wellness, and its potential benefits are worth exploring. If you’re intrigued by the promises of this exotic fruit, it may be time to give mangosteen juice a try and discover its remarkable effects on your own health and vitality.
