However, you can start incorporating exercise into your routine by following President Bush’s “Healthier US” initiative. Aim to walk for at least 30 minutes every day, even if you have to break it up into shorter intervals. Not only will you burn calories (approximately 200-300), but you can also involve your family and spend quality time together outside, away from screens.
  3. Cultivating a Support System – If you tend to feel guilty about things, you can leverage that emotion to aid your weight loss journey. Find a workout partner and make a mutual commitment to support each other. By holding yourself accountable to someone else, you’re less likely to give up on your goals. The guilt of letting your partner down will serve as a powerful motivator to stay on track.
  4. Utilizing Accountability Tools – Keeping a food diary is an excellent method for monitoring your eating habits. Record what you consume on an hourly basis throughout the day for at least two weeks. By doing so, you’ll gain insight into the sources of those extra calories (and pounds).
